About Türkiye Apostille

Türkiye Apostille and Document Legalization Services by
Hague Apostille Services

Türkiye became a member of the Hague Apostille Convention on July 31, 1985, with the agreement officially taking effect on September 29, 1985. This treaty simplifies the authentication process for Turkish public documents, enabling them to be recognized internationally with an apostille.

An apostille is an official certification that verifies the authenticity of public documents such as birth and marriage certificates, legal judgments, notarial attestations, and business records. It confirms the validity of the signature and the authority of the issuing official.

Documents issued in Türkiye that are certified with an apostille in accordance with the Hague Convention of 1961 are legally recognized in over 120 member countries without the need for additional consular legalization. This significantly reduces both costs and processing time for international document validation.

However, for countries that are not part of the Hague Apostille Convention, additional consular legalization is required for documents to be accepted abroad.

By obtaining an apostille, individuals and businesses can streamline the legalization process for use in international transactions, legal proceedings, and official matters.
